Goldenberry Extract Powder

Made from goldenberries harvested in Colombia, this Goldenberry Extract Powder is ideal for beverage and food applications. Soluble in water and shelf stable, this spray dried powder can be stored at ambient temperature.

Organic Sun Dried Whole Goldenberries

After harvesting on small family held organic farms in Peru, the goldenberries are allowed to dry naturally in the sun, to form these beautifully tart/sweet chewy dried goldenberries, which are idea for use in cereals, snack bars, baking, trial mixes, raw treats or as a healthy snack all by themselves.

Hailing from the high-altitudes of South America, goldenberries (Physalis peruviana) are small, round, yellowish fruits, known by many names, including Inca berries, Uchuva and Cape Gooseberry.

Whilst Goldenberries are becoming a more well-known superfood in the western world, they have been consumed in other parts of the globe for hundreds of years, enjoyed for their sweet-tart flavour and dense nutrition.

At Superfood Ingredients we offer 100% pure organic raw goldenberries, which have been sun dried after being harvested from organic farms in Peru. We also supply a spray dried goldenberry extract, which sees the fresh goldenberries turned into a practical powder form ready for use in foods, beverages and supplements. 

In France goldenberries are more affectionately known as ‘amour en cage’, which is a phrase literally translating to ‘love in a cage’. If you’re wondering where this comes from, it’s all thanks to the fruit’s delicate paper-like ‘wrapper’ or husk that wraps around it, encasing the berry inside.
