Organic Red Grape Skin Powder

No other ingredients are added, and all the natural fibers from the powder remain. This powder is ideal for smoothie blends. Our Organic Red Grape Skin Powder is shelf stable and can be stored at ambient temperature.
Reduced Sugar Red Grape Extract

The proprietary drying technology used to make this powder is specifically designed for maximum nutrient retention. The ORAC value of this powder is between 70,000 - 110,000 μmol ET/100 g, Ployphenols are 5,500 - 7,500 mg GAE/100g and Anthoxyanins are 3,500 - 5,000 mg cianidin-3-glucoside/100g. This Reduced Sugar Grape Extract is ideal for nutraceutical applications, health supplements and for encapsulation where a reduced sugar content is desirable. The powder is free flowing and soluble in water.
Organic Fermented Red Grape Skin Powder
The organically farmed red grapes (Vitis vinifera) are first naturally fermented for wine making. The juices are collected for wine as usual, but the antioxidant- and polyphenol-rich skins of the red grapes are also extracted and dried. The result is a deep red powder with the wonderful full bodied aroma of red wine, ready for use as an antioxidant packed supplement to be added to drinks, yoghurts, cereals, baked goods and smoothie blends. Our Organic Fermented Grape Skin Powder is shelf stable and can be stored at ambient temperature.
SUPERFOOD INGREDIENTS grape harvesting and production
Sourced from South America
Red grapes, either for wine production or juice production, are widely grown in the cooler climates of Chile, Argentina and Southern Brazil. The skins of red grapes are know for their rich source of polyphenols, anthocyanins and natural alfa-resveratrol. Our Red Grape powders are either grown organically in the South of Brazil in the most southern state of Rio Grande do Sul which boarders Argentina, or in the valleys of Chile. There are a wide range of grape varieties, some of which contain a denser concentration of polyphenols than others. For example, the Vitis labrusca, or fox grape, native to the Americas, and used to produce our Organic Red Grape Skin Powder, is one such variety known for its potent polyphenol content. Testing has shown fantastic levels of polyphenols in this powder, along with its interesting fiber content, as follows:
Resveratrol: 54.2mg / 100g
Epicatechin: 43.94 mg / 100g
Chlorogenic acid: 35.7 mg / 100g
Quercertin: 14.4 mg / 100g
The skins of red grape are believed to have protective effects against heart disease, an effect that has largely be attributed to the polyphenols, and particularly resveratrol, contained in the skins of red grapes
